My friend the writer mark TWAIN

What’s the name of the best book you’ve ever read?
A difficult question
What a difficult question for a person whose favorite activity throughout life, starting from early childhood, is reading books! Reading, rereading your favorite authors, discovering new things in different periods — can there be a more exciting activity?
Books are comprehended through familiarity with the author: biography, life history, when behind the faceless name on the cover reveals a person with joys, pains, experiences, a unique inner world. It’s exciting.
Acquaintance
This is how I met the man who became my true friend, the writer mark TWAIN. Parents in memory of themselves left a library of collected works of their favorite authors, among them was he, who created images of literary heroes that the entire reading world knows.
Favorite book
My favorite book, which I read and reread throughout my life, was written by mark TWAIN in 1867 as travel notes, hilarious observations about a trip on a steamboat to Europe and the Holy land, funny and touching situations on the way of TWAIN and friends that arise when faced with the primness of the Old World and American “new barbarians”, already imagining themselves in the 20th century!
Against the background of this light banter, a surprisingly accurate and delicious description of cities and places to visit: Gibraltar, Bermuda or the Louvre Museum-a guide-guide is not necessary!
Need a map!
At some point, I realized that I needed a map where I would mark the path of Mark TWAIN and his wonderful, matching friends. Said-done! Now this map takes pride of place on the shelf next to the collected works.
Thank you, my friend!
Thank you for the trip. One day I will go this way with my friends, but I promise you that you will be there: with jokes, sharp comments, and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge of the beauty of the world around you.
And the best book I’ve ever read in my life is called Simpletons abroad or the Way of new pilgrims, and it was written by an amazing man, the writer and my friend mark TWAIN.
